Coaching
The essence of coaching and the way I work is to help a person change in the way they wish and help them go in the direction they want to go. It supports a person at every level in becoming who they want to be. It builds awareness, empowers choice and leads to change.
My goal is to help individuals to learn and effect change for themselves by unlocking their performance potential in whatever field they are in, be it in work, sport or performance.
It starts with building rapport and developing a relationship and is focused on specific goals, intentions and outcomes for that individual. Coaching can start and finish with just one meeting or can be for achieving a series of goals with a number of coaching sessions.
It can be on-line, in person or outside in a rejuvinating natural environment. What is important, is that it is guided by you the coachee and your goals and objectives.
The approaches and strategies I would use are dependent on this. It is grounded in positive psychology with a socio-ecological approach. I typically incorporate evidence based models drawing on fields such as NLP and Transactional Analysis. It is very person centred and solution focused.
