Who I am
I had a Irish father, a cockney mother, I was born on the 4th July in Brooklyn New York, in a Scottish hospital and delivered by a Jewish doctor……..so I am reliably informed.
We moved to the UK when I was 5 years old. I lived in London, Suffolk and Yorkshire, and my work took me all over the UK & Ireland, as well as internationally to Azerbaijan and Indonesia. I became an Irish citizen in my 30’s though, through my father being Irish. My parents retired & moved to Wicklow at that time 30 years ago and Ireland has always been my spiritual home.
During my career I have worked in a number of disciplines and sectors which have given me a broad dimension to the world of work. It traverses the fields of Sport & Recreation, Financial Services, Training Management, Management Consultancy, Learning & Development Specialist, Performance & Development Coaching and even Acting & Performing.
10 years ago I myself retired at 55 and moved to Ireland to become my parents’ full time carer. My Mother had Alzeimers and my Father had Parkinsons. It was one of the most emotionally difficult, yet incredibly rewarding times of my life and was an extremely powerful learning experience for me. I learnt about true compassion, empathy, connection and love.
I now work with organisations, teams, individuals and groups to guide and share my experience and mistakes, to genuinely help people make positive changes in the lives, reconnect with the more than human world and themselves, and raise awareness to behaviours that would serve them positively.
Beliefs & Values
I believe that everyone has the potential to develop & grow, and have all the resources they need to achieve their desired goals
I value authenticity, honesty, openness, integrity and diversity in people.
I respect everyone, particularly those who are prepared to challenge both themselves and others, push the boundaries and have the courage to be vulnerable in order to learn about themselves.
